Tramping over through the snowy woods like the “Otzi Man” (the mummy of a man who lived here over 3,000 years ago) is just as thrilling today and rewards you with extraordinary sensation of the Alpine world in this northernmost tip of Valle Aurina.
One of the favorite destinations of those who leave Pedroi on snowshoes is Malga Steger, a pasture on the sunny side of the mountain. From Casere, we highly recommend the snowshoe track up to Malga Wieser and Malga Hochwieser.
